Energy Assessments & Recommendations
Start with a no-cost, no-obligation home energy assessment conducted by certified professionals. Whether you’re a homeowner or a renter, Paradigm Energy Services makes it easy to identify where your home is losing energy and what can be done to improve comfort and reduce utility bills.
During the visit, our trained energy assessor will examine key areas of your home such as insulation, heating and cooling systems, plumbing penetrations, windows, electrical outlets, lighting, and thermostats. For multifamily buildings, they will also inspect common areas like hallways, mechanical rooms, attics, and exterior spaces including rooftops and parking lots. When needed, they may enter occupied units accompanied by building staff to test wall insulation, inspect heat delivery systems, and collect necessary photos and measurements.
After the assessment we will work on identifying and securing available incentives. Once that step is complete, we follow up with your customized report. Many recommended upgrades may be fully covered through Mass Save or other incentive programs, and Paradigm manages all the paperwork and coordination to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish. These may include insulation upgrades, air sealing, high-efficiency heating systems, smart thermostats, or appliance replacements. I’m Tom, the Residential Heating Systems Project Coordinator at Paradigm. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Economics from BU. I have long been passionate about demonstrating to folks that sustainable energy is a smart, worthwhile investment. Before joining Paradigm in 2024, I worked in the solar industry in a variety of roles focused on greening the grid. Now, I’m excited to be cutting carbon from the other end of the power lines - through efficient, low-emission heat pumps. Outside of work, you can find me hiking with my dog Finn or traveling with my wife.
Patrick Colby
Hi I'm Patrick! I'm an Energy auditor and mechanical engineer who was born, went to school, and currently lives in MA. I've been working in the energy efficiency field for over 10 years with experience on Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency projects as well as residential ones, allowing me to bring firsthand knowledge of a wide variety of energy efficiency project knowledge in order to meet the unique needs of each facility we serve. I fortunately able walk to work most days, and I love how our work advances sustainability in the residential environment, especially in underserved communities.
Jon-Lawrence Koloba
I'm Jon-Lawrence and I'm a Project Engineer. I've been with the company since 2020 working on various energy efficiency retrofit projects. I have a Bachelors in Sustainable Urban Environments and a Masters in Historical & Sustainable Architecture from NYU. I also serve as a board member of The Boston Preservation Alliance, a non-profit that advocates for the preservation of Boston's historic spaces. In my personal time I love to play Billiards (8-Ball/9-Ball) competitively.
