Embue Controls at Whaler's Place

A new entrant into the building controls space, Embue helps save energy in both centrally heated buildings and individually metered apartments. Embue combines thermostats, sensors, and per-apartment equipment control with alerts and analytics. This allows properties to reduce energy consumption, prevent unsafe settings in apartments and common areas, and improve resident comfort. Building staff can monitor and control systems via smartphone or desktop. In buildings with central HVAC, Embue’s occupancy sensors even allow for automatic setbacks to be triggered when residents are out. Paradigm has installed Embue systems in several multi-family sites in Massachusetts. Whaler’s Place in New Bedford is an affordable senior housing development in a former textile mill. We installed the Embue system in conjunction with other weatherization and mechanical upgrades to optimize the performance of the building’s central boiler.
