Weatherization
Air sealing and insulating measures included use of spray foam and rigid foam board to seal the basement perimeter of the building to decrease cold air infiltration. Apartments were compartmentalized through sealing plumbing penetrations and through window and perimeter caulking of each unit. Doors were equipped with new weather stripping and door sweeps.
Instant Savings Measures (ISMs)
Each unit received water saving showerheads and faucet aerators where needed, reducing water use and reducing water heating and fuel usage.
Lighting
Common-area and exterior lighting project upgrading inefficient metal halide / high pressure sodium, incandescent, and fluorescent based fixtures to LED for a total of 642 fixtures and lamps.
